Frequently Asked Questions

How long do sessions last?

Sessions last 50 minutes and are typically scheduled once a week. However, depending on your particular needs and circumstances, sessions can take place more or less frequently.

How long will therapy last?

There is no set timeframe for therapy. Therapy may vary in length depending on your personal goals, needs, or level of commitment. Therapy can last a few weeks, a few months, or a year or longer. Attending therapy is not mandatory and it is your choice when to terminate.

How do I know you are the right therapist for me?

Please feel free to call for a free initial 20-minute consultation. You can tell me a little bit about yourself and your situation, as well as ask me questions about my approach, style and services. I will be more than happy to answer your questions and help you decide if I am the right therapist for you.

Do you accept insurance?

I accept OHP, Regence, BSBC and Anthem. I can also provide you with an invoice for each session you attend so that you can submit it to your insurance for reimbursement. Please check with your Health Plan about this as I can't guarantee reimbursement. Clients are responsible for paying the fee at time services are rendered.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, Venmo, Square Cash, checks, and credit/debit cards. Payments are expected at the time services are delivered.

What if I need to cancel a session?

If you need to cancel a session, 24 hours advance notice is required. If you need to cancel with less than 24 hours notice, the normal session fee will apply. It may be possible to reschedule an individual session, depending on availability.
